The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Henry County in southeastern Iowa...
  Western Des Moines County in southeastern Iowa...

* Until 100 AM CDT Friday

* At 654 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated stationary strong
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to
  three inches of rain have already fallen just north of New London
  Iowa. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Mount Pleasant, New London, Danville, Henry County Fairgrounds,
  Pleasant Grove, Mount Pleasant Municipal Arpt, Yarmouth and Oakland
  Mills Park.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area.

Flood waters are expected to move down Big Creek from north of New
London to near Mt Pleasant.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
