CLoudy skies and brisk west winds at 5 to 15 miles an hour
prevailed across the region Friday afternoon, as a weak upper
level disturbance swept across the Upper Mississippi River
Valley Region. Temperatures topped out in the upper 30s to mid
40s area-wide.

Clear skies will prevail across parts of southeast Iowa,
northeast Missouri, and west central Illinois tonight, while
partly cloudy to cloudy skies remain over east central Iowa and
northwest Illinois. Patchy fog will be possible mainly in
portions of eastern Iowa and west central Illinois during the
overnight hours, where skies clear out the most. Temperatures
will drop into the upper 20s to lower 30s by daybreak Saturday,
with a few spots possibly slipping into the mid 20s.
