Cloudy skies and east northeast winds of 5 to 15 miles an hour
were common across the area Friday, as high pressure moved east
towards the Great Lakes. High temperatures ranged from 17 in
Dubuque and Freeport, up to 28 in Fairfield, Keokuk, and Macomb.

Cloudy skies will prevail across the area tonight, as an upper
level wave moves across northern Missouri and southern
Illinois. A wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain will be
possible across areas mainly along and southeast of a line
from Fairfield Iowa to Princeton Illinois, where a light ice
glaze will be possible by daybreak. Temperatures will bottom
out in lower teens along Highway 20, while readings in parts
of northeast Missouri and west central Illinois slip into the
mid 20s.
