1121 AM CST Fri Jan 19 2018

High pressure centered over the Southeast allowed warmer air to be
drawn northward into the Upper Midwest Thursday night into Friday
morning. High clouds overspread the region Thursday night also
helping to keep temperatures warmer. Low temperatures this
morning were noticeably warmer and ranged from 18 degrees at
Independence to 30 degrees at Macomb.

A weak storm system will approach eastern Iowa during the day on
Friday but stall across the northwest corner of the state. There
will be filtered sunshine through the day with high clouds across
the region. High temperatures this afternoon will range from the
lower 40s along the Highway 20 corridor to the upper 40s in far
southeastern Iowa and northeast Missouri.
