An area of showers and thunderstorms lifted north across the area
early Friday, bringing rain to most locations. Rainfall totals
between a tenth of an inch and three quarters of an inch, were
common this morning. Some areas in west central Illinois,
received amounts near 1 inch. Friday morning low temperatures,
ranged from 60 degrees in Dubuque, to 65 degrees in Mount Pleasant
and Sterling Illinois.

The active weather pattern continues today, with scattered
showers and thunderstorms possible. There will likely be some dry
periods for most during the morning hours, before additional
storms develop in the afternoon and evening. Some of the afternoon
storms, may become strong or severe, with large hail, damaging
winds, and frequent lightning the main threats. At this time,
additional rainfall amounts between a quarter and three quarters
of an inch are possible by Saturday morning. Friday high
temperatures, will top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Overnight low temperatures, will be in the lower to middle 60s.
