ILLINOIS...AND NORTHEAST MISSOURI ON SUNDAY...AS A LARGE AREA OF
HIGH PRESSURE TRACKED OVER THE GREAT PLAINS. WEST WINDS GUSTED
BETWEEN 25 AND 35 MPH DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING.
SUNDAY HIGH TEMPERATURES...RANGED FROM 72 DEGREES IN CEDAR
RAPIDS...INDEPENDENCE...AND MONTICELLO...TO 77 DEGREES IN KEOKUK
AND MOUNT PLEASANT.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD INTO THE MIDWEST TONIGHT...
PROVIDING THE REGION WITH CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WEST WINDS. THIS
WILL ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO DROP INTO THE UPPER 40S AND LOWER 50S
BY SUNRISE MONDAY. THIS IS 10 TO 17 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL FOR LATE
AUGUST. EXPECT ABUNDANT SUNSHINE...BREEZY WEST NORTHWEST
WINDS...AND PLEASANT LATE SUMMER WEATHER MONDAY...WITH HIGHS
TOPPING OUT IN THE UPPER 60S AND LOWER 70S BY THE AFTERNOON. DRY
CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL THROUGH THE WORK WEEK...WITH HIGHS
GENERALLY IN THE 70S EACH DAY.
