Scattered showers and thunderstorms tracked east across eastern
Iowa, northeast Missouri, and north central Illinois late Saturday
afternoon and evening. Large hail, downed power lines, torrential
rain, and winds up to 65 mph were common with these storms. Hail
up to the size of baseballs fell near Antioch Missouri breaking
many car windows. Saturday high temperatures, ranged from 81
degrees in Independence, to 89 degrees in Mount Pleasant.

Clearing skies and cooler temperatures will be found overnight
tonight, as high pressure moves into the region. Expect near
seasonable temperatures and sunny skies Sunday, with highs topping
out in the middle to upper 70s by the afternoon.
