SUBJECT:    Fisheries Messages

In accordance with the MOA between NMFS and NWS, we request the
broadcast of the attached message from coastal NWR stations covering
offshore areas from Ft. Myers, Florida through Miami, Florida.

Please broadcast the attached message at approximately 30-minute
intervals from today, February 16, or as soon as you`re able,
through February 21, 2018.

The National Marine Fisheries Service announces the closure for
commercial king mackerel caught with hook-and-line gear in the
southern zone of the Gulf of Mexico. The closure is effective from
February 20 through June 30, 2018. The southern zone is federal
waters south of a line extending due west from the boundary of Lee
and Collier counties on the Florida west coast, and south of a line
extending due east from the boundary of Monroe and Miami-Dade
counties on the Florida east coast. During the closure, king
mackerel caught in the Gulf of Mexico southern zone with hook-and-
line gear may not be purchased or sold. For more information, call
