.SHORT TERM...
.TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT...DRY YET HUMID WEATHER CONDITIONS AND
ISOLATED TO SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH FRIDAY
NIGHT. A LOW-LEVEL CONVERGENCE WILL TRIGGER SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS
UPSTREAM. HENCE...A LINE OF CLOUDS FROM THE NORTH OF THE FCST ZONES
WILL MOVE NEAR THE MAIN SAMOAN ISLES AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT THUS
SWEEPING SCATTERED SHOWERS WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL JUST BEFORE
THURSDAY NOON...ESPECIALLY OVER UPOLU AND SAVAII AND PART OF TUTUILA.
A GFS MODEL RESOLUTION SHOWS SHOWER ACTIVITY WILL DIMINISH THURSDAY
NIGHT INTO FRIDAY. AS A RESULT...ANTICIPATE MODERATE BREEZE TO PICK
UP A NOTCH TO NEAR 20 KT FRIDAY EVENING. DRY EASTERLY WINDS WILL
YIELD TO WARM OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 80S.

.LONG TERM...
.SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...IT WILL BE A QUIET FCST PERIOD. A SURFACE
RIDGE TO THE SOUTH WILL YIELD TO DRY WEATHER CONDITIONS AND ONLY ISOLATED
SHOWERS OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. WARMER TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER
80S AND OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE UPPER 70S TO NEAR 80 DEGREES ARE EXPECTED.
AS A RESULT...MODERATE TO FRESH TRADE-WINDS WILL PERSIST OVER THE NEXT
SEVERAL DAYS.

.MARINE...COMBINED SEAS OF 5 TO 7 FT WILL RISE TO NEAR 7 TO 9 FT
THURSDAY NIGHT UNTIL SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THIS WILL REFLECT THE
ARRIVAL OF FRESH TRADE-WINDS ACROSS THE AREA OVER THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS.
