The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Victoria County in south central Texas...
  Northeastern Goliad County in south central Texas...

* Until 230 AM CST

* At 1228 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms over Western and Central Victoria County. This will
  cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Rainfall amounts
  between 1 and 2 inches will be possible, as some of the storms
  move over the same areas bringing heavy rainfall.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Victoria, Guadalupe, Fannin, Fordtran, Victoria Colony Creek
  Country Club, Schroeder, Mission Valley, Victoria Detar Hospital
  North, Nursery, Victoria Riverside Park, Coleto Creek Park,
  Victoria College, Victoria Mall, Saxet Lakes, Oak Village, Salem,
  Victoria Regional Airport, Telferner, Downtown Victoria and


Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
