...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in
southern Indiana...

  East Fork White River...Muscatatuck River...White River...

.Lowland flooding will continue and also develop along a few rivers
in southern Indiana this weekend.  Rains of 1 to 2 inches have
fallen since late Tuesday in portions of the area.

This will only be the beginning of a much more extensive flood event
that will begin during the middle of the coming week. Significant
flooding is possible after Tuesday.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The East Fork White River at Seymour.
* until late Sunday night.
* At  8:45 PM Saturday the stage was 12.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 12.8 feet by
  tomorrow morning. The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow
  afternoon.
* At 12.0 feet...Significant agricultural lands begins to flood.  High
  water affects some local roads.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Muscatatuck River at Wheeler Hollow.
* from Tuesday afternoon to late Tuesday night.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 18.2
  feet Tuesday evening.
* At 18.0 feet...Floods area in a few low spots and woodland areas
  along the river.  Residential property is not directly at this
  point.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The White River at Petersburg.
* from Sunday evening to Tuesday morning.
* At  8:30 PM Saturday the stage was 13.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow evening and continue
  to rise to near 16.3 feet by Monday early afternoon.  The river
  will fall below flood stage by Monday evening.
* At 16.0 feet...Flooding affects agricultural lands.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The White River at Hazleton.
* from late Sunday night to Wednesday morning.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 16.8
  feet Tuesday morning.
* At 17.0 feet...Lowest reading available from the Hazleton Staff
  Gage.  Since the 1930s the White River has moved from the "old
  wellhouse" to several hundred yards from the "old wellhouse".  The
  river returns to the "old wellhouse" around 17 to 17.5 feet.
