FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
359 AM CST FRI DEC 26 2014

.DISCUSSION...
AS SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUES TO MOVE FURTHER TO THE
EAST...DRY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE TODAY AND TONIGHT ACROSS
NORTHERN ALABAMA. A SOUTHEAST TO SOUTH FLOW...UNDER PARTLY
CLOUDY SKIES WILL LEAD TO HIGH TEMPERATURES WARMING INTO
THE MID AND UPPER 50S THIS AFTERNOON. MINIMUM RELATIVE
HUMIDITY VALUES THIS AFTERNOON SHOULD FALL TO AROUND 40
PERCENT. CLOUDS WILL INCREASE TONIGHT...AS A SYSTEM FORMING
OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS APPROACHES. THIS NEXT SYSTEM WILL
BRING A VERY GOOD CHANCE OF WETTING RAINS TO THE TENNESSEE
VALLEY THIS WEEKEND AND EARLY NEXT WEEK. RAINFALL TOTALS
ACROSS THE REGION FROM SATURDAY INTO LATE SUNDAY SHOULD
RANGE BETWEEN ONE AND TWO INCHES.

GENERALLY POOR SMOKE DISPERSION IS FORECAST FOR TODAY...DUE
TO LIGHT WINDS AT THE SURFACE AND TRANSPORT LAYER. SLIGHTLY
BETTER VENTILATION RATES ARE FORECAST DURING SATURDAY...
ESPECIALLY IN AREAS EAST OF INTERSTATE 65.
