Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL

.DISCUSSION...

A mild weather pattern for late June will continue across the region
through Tuesday night...featuring high temps in the lower/mid 80s and
lows in the upper 50s/lower 60s. A passing upper-level disturbance
will bring an increase in cloud cover and perhaps some light rain to
portions of the region late tonight and Tuesday morning, but most of
the area will experience little if any wetting rainfall. Afternoon RH
values will be in the 35-45% range tomorrow and Wednesday...with mixing
heights of 6-7 kft providing generally good smoke dispersion. A warm and
humid weather pattern more typical of mid-summer will develop by the end
of the week and continue through the weekend. Along with the increase in
humidity will come a gradual increase in the coverage of afternoon/early
evening showers and thunderstorms, especially this weekend.

Fog potential over the next few days: Limited threat for fog formation
in river valleys early Wednesday morning.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
