This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas..

.DAY ONE...Today And Tonight.

Elevated to near-critical fire weather conditions are expected
across the southern Edwards Plateau and Rio Grande Plains this
afternoon as south winds of 10 to 15 mph occur in conjunction with
relative humidity values falling into the 10 to 20 percent range.
While fuels remain near normal per dryness and energy release
component values, localized grasslands or quick-burning vegetative
fuel could allow for fast fire growth given the wind speed and
air dryness. Humidity values will recover into the evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Critical fire weather conditions will likely occur Wednesday for
Rio Grande Plains, southern Edwards Plateau, and portions of the
Hill Country to just west of San Antonio. Humidity values will
again drop to 10-20 percent but across a larger area and with
strong west to northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph. Wind gusts could
be as high as 30 mph Wednesday afternoon. If a wildfire were to
occur, it could spread quickly.

Fire weather concerns could arise again Friday and early next week
as persistent warmer than normal temperatures occur with limited
rain chances.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated.
