The National Weather Service in Columbia has confirmed Straight Line
Wind Damage approximately 4 miles north of Barnwell in Barnwell
County South Carolina on January 15 2017.

Based on information provided by the Barnwell County Emergency
Manager and nearby residents, trees were reported down, mainly in
the vicinity of Reynolds Road and Ashleigh Road. However, it was
inconclusive that a tornado touched down in this area earlier
today as it was within the exact path of the tornado which moved
through this same area on January 21 2017. There were some pine
trees believe to have been damaged today that were snapped and
uprooted, but they were all facing toward the northeast or east-
northeast, leading toward the determination that straight line
winds occurred.
