Slightly cooler and drier conditions will prevail over the Midsouth
today, behind a Pacific cold front that passed through the region on
Tuesday.

Much colder temperatures will arrive on Thursday, following an
Arctic cold frontal passage early in the day. The coldest of the
Arctic air will take about a day to settle in. Friday morning
wind chill will prevail in the teens, with single digit wind chills
briefly possible over far northeast Arkansas, the Missouri bootheel
and far northwest Tennessee around daybreak. Despite plenty of
sunshine on Friday, high temperatures will average 15 to 20 degrees
below normal, prevailing in the 30s.

The Arctic air will lift out of the region Saturday, as near normal
temperatures and rain return for Sunday.
