...THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN ACROSS PALOMINO VALLEY...

AT 942 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS WERE
TRACKING THUNDERSTORMS 8 MILES WEST OF VIRGINIA PEAK...OR 18 MILES
SOUTH OF PYRAMID LAKE...MOVING NORTHWEST AT 5 MPH.

HALF INCH HAIL WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM ALONG WITH PERIODS
OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN. THESE STORMS ARE VERY SLOW MOVING WHICH
WILL ENHANCE RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN THE VALLEY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

HEAVY RAINFALL IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. EXPECT PONDING OF WATER
ON ROADWAYS. IN AREAS OF STEEP TERRAIN...MINOR ROCK SLIDES ARE
POSSIBLE. DRIVERS SHOULD SLOW DOWN AND TURN ON THEIR HEADLIGHTS IF
ENCOUNTERING HEAVY RAINS.
