Rip Current Risk:      Low Risk. The risk for rip currents is low,
                       however, life threatening rip currents often
                       occur in the vicinity of the South Padre Island
                       jetties. Remember to swim near a lifeguard, if

Ultraviolet Index:     Moderate. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and
                       sunglasses, and use sunscreen of SPF 15 or
                       higher. Seek shade during the midday hours of
                       10 am to 4 pm.

Weather:               Mostly sunny.

Temperatures:          Low 70s.

Wind:                  Variable 5 mph.

Wave Heights:          2 feet or less.

Surf Temperature:      63 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       56 degrees.

Tides:                 A low at 4 36 am. A minor high at 10 o8 am.
                       A minor low at 3 13 pm. A minor high at 9 47 pm.

Outlook:               A low risk of rip currents will continue through
                       Thursday. An elevated risk for rip currents will
                       then develop on Friday behind a cold front. High
                       temperatures are to remain in the middle 60s and
                       70s this week with a slight chance of showers on
                       Thursday afternoon through Friday morning with a
                       passing cold front.
