...The National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky has issued a
flood warning for a portion of the St. Francis River affecting
areas in southeast Missouri...

  Near Patterson affecting Wayne County.

.Water levels along the St. Francis River continues to rise with
minor flood conditions forecast to begin near Patterson within
24 hours. A crest is expected Friday morning. Periods of torrential
rainfall occurred over the area Wednesday afternoon into the evening
hours with additional rainfall possible during the overnight hours.



Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather

The National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky has issued a

* Flood Warning for the St. Francis River near Patterson.
* from Thursday evening to Friday evening.
* At 11 PM Wednesday the stage was 9.8 feet.
* Flood Stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Thursday evening and
  crest near 16.5 feet Friday morning.
* Impact...At 16.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
  bottomland and surrounding low lying areas.
