This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas..

.DAY ONE...Today And Tonight.

Above normal temperatures and relatively humid conditions will
result in elevated heat index values of 104 to 108 this afternoon
along and southeast of the Balcones Escarpment. Isolated spots may
see heat index values reach near 110 mainly east of I-35. Please
stay hydrated and take frequent breaks while working outside this

Elevated fire weather conditions are possible today west of a
Rocksprings to San Antonio to Pleasanton line. Minimum relative
humidities will dip into the mid 20s and winds could gust up to
20 to 25 mph this afternoon and evening. Fuels remain dry across
the region.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Elevated afternoon heat index values of 104 to 108 are expected
for portions of South Central Texas Thursday through Sunday. The
heat index in some isolated spots east of I-35 could reach up to
110 degrees. These elevated heat index values could become more
widespread through the week resulting in possible Heat Advisories.

Regardless, please take extra precautions if you work or spend
time outside in the afternoon. Stay hydrated and take breaks in
the shade or an air conditioned building. Limit strenuous outdoor
activities and check up on the elderly, sick and those without
air conditioning. Never leave children or pets unattended in a
vehicle...look before you lock!


Spotter activation is not anticipated.
