For the Cimarron River...the following locations are included...
Kenton 2NE.

.1 to 2 inches of rain have fallen upstream of the gage
site. The runoff from the heavy rain is expected to cause a
significant rise on the river. The river is expected
to rise to just above its bankfull stage of 11.0 feet by early
morning on Friday.

For the Cimarron River 2 miles northeast of Kenton.
* Latest stage: 5.4 feet at 3 AM Friday.
* Flood stage: 20.0 feet.
* Bankfull stage: 11.0 feet.

At 11.0 feet...Bankfull stage. Water is up to the lowest natural
banks but within secondary banks. Low water crossings upstream and
downstream are likely flooded. Fences below the secondary bank could
sustain damage. No other known threats.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
