...Michigan Bar on Cosumnes River expected to reach monitor stage tonight...

Recent heavy rains over the Sierra combined with the ongoing precipitation
today will cause rivers to rise over our area.  Although precipitation is
expected to taper off this evening, most locations will see rivers continue
to rise through tonight.  Michigan Bar on the Cosumnes River is forecast
to be above monitor stage tonight through Sunday morning.

Forecasts are based on present and forecasted meteorological and
hydrologic conditions at time of issuance.

Unlisted forecast points are expected to remain below monitor stage.
All those affected by river conditions should remain alert for rapid
changes and for possible forecast revisions.

 Michigan Bar 12/10 09:30 stage 3.8 ft
 forecast to rise above monitor stage of 7.0 ft this evening then
forecast to crest near 9.0 ft near this midnight then forecast to
fall below monitor stage of 7.0 ft late tomorrow morning.
 Monitor stage 7.0 ft, Flood stage 12.0 ft
Impact for Michigan Bar...Near 8.0 feet, Low lying lands along the
river begin to flood.
