Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Skies were clear this morning with westerly winds between 10 and
15 mph across the Central high plains region. Early afternoon
temperatures rose into the upper 40s to lower 50s.

OUTLOOK...
Measurable snowfall will return to the region Tuesday night
through Wednesday as a low pressure system tracks across the
southern plains. Between 2 and 4 inches is expected with
localized higher and lower amounts. In the wake of this system,
very cold temperatures are expected. The coldest temperatures will
occur on Wednesday and Wednesday night with high temperatures in
the middle teens and lower 20s and overnight lows early Thursday
morning between zero and 5 degrees above zero. Wind chills are
expected to be well below zero early Thursday morning.  High
temperatures will warm back into the 30s and lower 40s by next
weekend with overnight lows in the teens and lower 20s.
