...AN AREA OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW AS WELL AS BLOWING SNOW WILL
AFFECT NORTHEASTERN LANDER... NORTHWESTERN WHITE PINE...SOUTH
CENTRAL ELKO AND CENTRAL EUREKA COUNTIES...

At 518 PM PST, an area of moderate to heavy snow and reduced
visibilities due to blowing snow was located 11 miles southwest of
Palisade, moving southeast at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this area of snow.

Locations impacted include...
Carlin, Jiggs, South Fork, Emigrant Pass, Pine Valley, Lee, Palisade,
Spring Creek and Emigrant Mine.

Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a quarter of a mile in
the heavier snow showers.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for the area. Please monitor
local media outlets and the national weather service for further
statements.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
