THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA...
SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA...NORTHWEST IOWA...AND NORTHEAST NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

WINTER WEATHER...
A BAND OF SNOW WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE HIGHWAY 14 CORRIDOR FROM
HURON THROUGH BROOKINGS INTO MARSHALL THROUGH THE MORNING.
SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED WITHIN THIS
BAND OF SNOW WHILE AN ISOLATED AMOUNT CLOSER TO 4 INCHES WILL BE
POSSIBLE. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WILL DECREASE QUICKLY TO THE SOUTH
WITH ONLY A COUPLE OF TENTHS LIKELY ALONG THE INTERSTATE 90
CORRIDOR.

WIND...
WINDS WILL TURN NORTH FROM THE JAMES VALLEY WEST BY EARLY
AFTERNOON AND INCREASE TO 20 TO 35 MPH...THEN DECREASE GRADUALLY
BY SUNSET. EAST OF THE JAMES RIVER VALLEY WINDS WILL INCREASE BY
MID AFTERNOON AND AVERAGE 20 TO 35 MPH INTO THE
EVENING...GRADUALLY DECREASING THROUGH THE NIGHT.

FIRE DANGER...
SOUTH WINDS WILL INCREASE LATE THIS MORNING TO A GUSTY 20 TO 30
MPH...WHILE HUMIDITY VALUES DROP TO 25 TO 30 PERCENT ACROSS MUCH
OF NORTHWEST IOWA AND FAR NORTHEAST NEBRASKA. VERY HIGH FIRE
DANGER IS EXPECTED MAINLY SOUTH OF A LINE FROM PONCA NEBRASKA TO
LE MARS IOWA TO SPENCER IOWA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
