...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM CDT
FOR NORTH CENTRAL RANDOLPH COUNTY...
At 620 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Red Bud to near Evansville to near Ste.
Genevieve, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Broadcast media 65 mph winds in Bloomsdale, MO.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Red Bud, Evansville, Prairie, Ruma, Roots, Modoc, and Kellogg.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for southwestern
Illinois...and southeastern Missouri.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
