Through the afternoon isolated showers and a few thunderstorms
will develop and move north across the Coastal Plains and areas
along Interstate 35. Rainfall amounts will generally be between a
tenth and a quarter of an inch. Some higher rainfall amounts
around a half an inch to one inch are possible if storms track
over the same area. Lightning and gusty winds from 30 to 40 miles
per hour will the main concerns with any thunderstorms that form.
