LIGHT RAIN AND LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW SPREAD ACROSS MUCH OF THE
UPPER MIDWEST DURING THE LATE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. MOST
SNOW AMOUNTS HAVE BEEN 1 TO 3 INCHES...IN A BROAD BAND FROM AROUND
SIOUX FALLS SOUTH DAKOTA TO THE TWIN CITIES INTO NORTH-CENTRAL
WISCONSIN. WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES REMAINED IN EFFECT FOR THESE
AREAS. OTHERWISE...IT WAS ANOTHER GENERALLY MILD LATE DECEMBER
NIGHT ACROSS THE REGION...WITH EARLY MORNING TEMPERATURES RANGING
FROM THE TEENS ACROSS NORTHERN MINNESOTA TO NEAR 50 IN SOUTHEAST
IOWA.

THE RAIN AND SNOW WILL MOVE INTO EASTERN WISCONSIN THIS MORNING
THEN EXIT THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON. 2 TO 4 INCH SNOW TOTALS ARE
EXPECTED FROM SOUTHWEST THROUGH EAST-CENTRAL MINNESOTA INTO
NORTHEAST WISCONSIN...WITH AMOUNTS QUICKLY DROPPING OFF ALONG AND
SOUTH OF A MASON CITY IOWA TO LA CROSSE AND GREEN BAY LINE.
TEMPERATURES WILL BE SLOWLY FALLING THROUGH THE DAY AS NORTHWEST
WINDS INCREASE ACROSS THE REGION. BY LATER THIS AFTERNOON MOST
TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE REGION WILL BE IN THE MID 20S TO MID 30S.

CANADIAN HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN FOR TONIGHT WITH DECREASING
CLOUDS...WINDS AND LOWS CLOSER TO LATE DECEMBER NORMALS. LOWS
TONIGHT ARE EXPECTED TO BE MOSTLY 5 TO 15 ABOVE ACROSS THE NORTH
TO 15 TO 25 ACROSS IOWA AND NORTHERN ILLINOIS.

LOOKING AHEAD...A PARTLY CLOUDY AND COLDER DAY WITH HIGHS MOSTLY
IN THE 20S IS ON TAP FOR SUNDAY.
