WISCONSIN WEATHER SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN WI
436 AM CST Sat Feb 25 2017

.YESTERDAY...

Temperatures in Wisconsin on Friday were back to near the normals
for late February. High temperatures Friday ranged from 24 at
Superior, Solon Springs and Manitowish Waters to 39 at Milwaukee.

Snow continued from Thursday night into Friday in much of central
and northern Wisconsin. Snow accumulations Thursday night through
Friday were as much as 10 inches in the Eau Claire area. In
southern Wisconsin, there was only drizzle and freezing drizzle on
Friday.

Winds were northeast to northerly 10 to 20 miles an hour with some
higher gusts.

.OVERNIGHT...

Snow west and freezing drizzle east in the early evening
transitioned to all snow late evening as colder air moved in
behind departing low pressure. Snow accumulations were generally
on the light side overnight. Skies were mostly cloudy, except for
some clearing far west later in the night. Northwest winds
remained breezy through the evening and overnight hours. Low
temperatures ranged from around 10 in the far northwest, to the
low 20s east.

.FORECAST...

Light snow will wind down this morning as strong low pressure
pulls away from the area. A much weaker system will then bring a
little light snow to mainly the northern half of Wisconsin tonight
into Sunday. Below normal temperatures today will recover quickly
to above normal on Sunday.

After dry weather Monday, another low pressure system will likely
bring precipitation to the state Monday night and Tuesday. Mixed
precipitation is possible for a time, but otherwise many places
will see rain for the bulk of this event.

There will be a chance for snow mid week, with temperatures
expected to slowly cool through the remainder of the work week.

Highs temperatures today will be in the 20s across Wisconsin.

Lows tonight will range from the low and mid teens in north-
central portions of the state...to the upper teens and low 20s
south.
