...Foggy Areas Continue Across Southern Iowa...

Fog continues to spread slowly north across southern Iowa from
this morning. Visibility from near the Iowa Missouri border to
near Des Moines will be below a half mile through 10 am and down
to less than a quarter mile at times.

The fog should lift through the noon hour with warmer temperatures
on the way for the afternoon today.

If traveling early today over southern Iowa...allow extra time to
reach your destination safely. Use low beam headlights and allow
extra stopping distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you.
Also be extra cautious near intersections and railroad crossings
as vehicles and oncoming trains may be hidden from view by areas
of thicker fog.
