.DISCUSSION...

Moisture will gradually increase through the daytime hours, with
light rain or drizzle overspreading eastern SD, southwest MN, and
NW Iowa through the day. Overnight, showers and thunderstorms are
expected, with most areas along and south of I-90 experiencing
rainfall. Rain will continue through Friday before ending Saturday
morning. The increase in moisture will keep fire weather concerns
low.

...MODERATE FIRE DANGER...

The Grassland Fire Danger Index will reach the moderate
category this afternoon. Marginal weather conditions or a
moderate moisture content of grasses and other dry organic
material on the ground...indicate that there is some potential
for a fire occurrence. Do not leave outdoor fires unattended
under these conditions.

OUTLOOK FOR FRIDAY AFTERNOON...The Grassland Fire Danger Index
will reach the moderate category.
