WEATHER SUMMARY FOR UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
935 AM CDT FRI MAY 6 2016

SKIES WERE PARTLY CLOUDY THROUGH THE NIGHT...AND A FEW OF THOSE
CLOUD PATCHES ACTUALLY RESULTED IN A FEW LIGHT SHOWERS. AMOUNTS
WERE SPOTTY AND LIGHT. MILD SOUTHWEST WINDS KEPT TEMPERATURES
UP...WITH LOWS ONLY FALLING INTO THE MIDDLE 40S TO LOWER 50S.

LOOK FOR A WARM DAY ACROSS THE REGION TODAY AS SOUTHWEST WINDS
CONTINUE TO PROVIDE WARM AND DRY AIR. HIGH TEMPERATURES SHOULD BE
WELL INTO THE 80S TODAY. BUT WITH THE WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS...
THERE IS A RISK FOR FIRES TODAY. OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT ADVISED.

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE REGION TONIGHT. THERE WILL BE A
SMALL CHANCE FOR A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AS IT PASSES...
BUT AGAIN...AMOUNTS WILL BE SPOTTY AND LIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE WILL
BUILD IN BEHIND THE FRONT...PROVIDING COOLER WEATHER. LOOK FOR
LOWS TONIGHT TO RANGE FROM THE 40S ACROSS NORTHERN PORTIONS OF
MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN...TO THE 50S ELSEWHERE. HIGHS SATURDAY
WILL BE IN THE 60S.
