...Bitterly Cold Temperatures, Gusty West Winds, and Blowing Snow
Through Tonight...

An arctic air mass will pour into the area tonight on gusty west
winds. Areas of blowing and drifting snow will occur this evening,
especially in locations that picked up an accumulation of powdery
snow in recent days. Open areas on north to south oriented roadways
will be most vulnerable to the blowing and drifting.

The arctic air will continue to filter into the region tonight
into Friday morning. Winds are expected to diminish overnight,
but locations that do not report calm winds will see wind chills
from 15 to 25 below zero. North central Wisconsin should see the
coldest readings, so a Wind Chill Advisory has been posted there.

Motorists should be prepared for scattered slippery spots and
reduced visibilities due to blowing and drifting snow this
