...High Fire Danger Today...

The Maine State Forest Service has indicated that the wildfire
danger across portions of western Maine away from the coast is
high today. You should check with your local fire department or
forestry office before doing any burning. Please remember that a
burn permit is required for all burning.

Much drier air has moved into the region...and will lead to sunny
skies and low relative humidity values. While it is not expected
to be windy...a northwest breeze will continue for most of the day
across the area. As a result...any fires that do develop may
spread quickly.
