National Weather Service Honolulu HI
341 PM HST Thu Nov 23 2017

341 PM HST Thu Nov 23 2017

Surf along north facing shores will be 25 to 30 feet tonight,
lowering to 20 to 25 feet Friday.

Surf along west facing shores will be 3 to 5 feet through Friday.

Surf along east facing shores will be 10 to 15 feet through Friday.

Surf along south facing shores will be 1 to 3 feet through Friday.

Outlook through Thursday November 30:
The current very large north swell will decline slowly through
Saturday. Surf is expected to be at advisory levels Friday, and
dropping below advisory levels by Saturday. Increasing, strong trades
will result in rough conditions along east facing shores. A new large
north swell is expected to arrive Sunday and continue into early next
week, peaking near advisory levels. Another north swell and a
northwest swell are possible on Wednesday.

Surf heights are forecast heights of the face, or front, of waves. The
surf forecast is based on the significant wave height, the average
height of the one third largest waves, at the locations of the largest
breakers. Some waves may be more than twice as high as the
significant wave height. Expect to encounter rip currents in or near
any surf zone.
