This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast

* Potential Impacts: Possible Snowmelt Flooding.

* Timing: This Week and/or Early Next Week

* Temperatures: Highs in the 40s and 50s.

With significant warming taking place this week, substantial
melting snow can be expected. While there have not been any reports
of ice jam flooding yet, it can be expected later this week on
some of the streams and creeks and in areas where culverts are
plugged with ice.

If you come across flooding on a roadway, remember that it only
takes a foot of water to move a small vehicle and two feet of
water can carry away most vehicles.

A Hazardous Weather Outlook is issued when hazardous weather could
impact the region within the next week. Be sure to stay tuned for
future updates as locations, timing, and impacts could change.
Begin preparations to mitigate any impacts that could result from
the hazardous weather.
