This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms early this morning
before 10 am along and east of the Highway 81 corridor. Severe
weather is not expected.

A flood warning is in effect for an area including Polk, northern
York, northeastern Hamilton, and central Merrick Counties this
morning. Please see the flood warning for more details.

More thunderstorms are possible today, with some isolated
activity possible between 5 pm and 7 pm, but there will be better
chances of storms after 7 pm into the night, with the best chances
of any severe weather between 7 pm and 1 am. There is a marginal
risk of severe weather with hail up to the size of quarters and
wind gusts to 60 mph being the primary potential hazards.
Localized flooding is also possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

There is a chance for thunderstorms Monday afternoon, although
are expected to hold off until after the solar eclipse. Better
chances for thunderstorms will arrive in the evening and
some of which could be strong to marginally severe.

Slight chances for thunderstorms return again on Friday, with
chances arriving on Saturday.


Spotter activation may be needed this evening. Please pass along
any severe weather reports to the National Weather Service.
