This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

At the very least, near critical fire weather conditions are
expected across the outlook area this afternoon. The greatest fire
danger and critical fire weather conditions are most likely along
and southwest of a line from Elwood, to Alma Nebraska, to Osborne
Kansas where a red flag warning is in effect from 1 PM through 7
PM.

Northwest winds will be sustained between 25 and 35 mph across the
area today with gusts to around 45 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Strong northwest wind and low humidity will contribute to near
critical fire weather conditions on Tuesday afternoon and early
evening, mainly along and southwest of a line from Lexington to
Beloit. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Northwest wind gusts of 35 to 45 MPH are expected Tuesday and
Thursday.
