SUBJECT: Adjustment to services provided to the Hastings
         Hydrologic Service Area (HSA).


...Flood stage changes on the Republican River at Guide Rock and
Hardy...

Flooding along the Republican River this summer provided an
opportunity to re-evaluate existing flood stages and impact
statements. A river survey conducted during the flooding and
coordinated with area partners has led to the decision to adjust
the flood stage on the Republican River at Guide Rock and Hardy.
The effective date of the following flood stage changes will be
Monday October 16th 2017.

...Ending river forecast for the Wood River near Riverdale
(RIVN1)...

We have coordinated with local and regional partners to
discontinue the issuance of river forecasts on the Wood River
near Riverdale. This decision was based on the absence of
real time automated river gauge data combined with a lack of
significant flood impacts near Riverdale. For instance, the town
of Riverdale and Highway 40 are not in the flood plane.
