SKIES WILL REMAIN CLOUDY THROUGH THE WEEKEND...WITH INCREASINGLY
MILD TEMPERATURES. A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH LATE SUNDAY...WITH
LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPING ALONG IT...TRACKING THROUGH KANSAS AND INTO
IOWA. THIS WILL BRING MUCH NEEDED RAIN TO THE REGION. THE LAST TIME
SUBSTANTIAL RAIN AMOUNTS FELL OVER THE REGION WAS ON OCTOBER 22ND.
COLD AIR WILL GRADUALLY WRAP INTO THE BACK SIDE OF THIS
SYSTEM...CHANGING THE RAIN TO SNOW SUNDAY NIGHT...BEFORE THE
PRECIPITATION ENDS MONDAY. ACCUMULATING SNOW IS POSSIBLE FOR PARTS
OF THE AREA. ALL THOSE WITH INTERESTS IN THIS POTENTIAL WINTER
WEATHER SITUATION SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR FUTURE FORECASTS. THE
DETAILS OF THIS SITUATION WILL COME MORE INTO FOCUS OVER THE NEXT
COUPLE DAYS. BEHIND THIS SYSTEM...TEMPERATURES WILL THEN RETURN TO
COLDER LEVELS MORE TYPICAL OF MID DECEMBER.
