Weather Summary for Portions of the Central Plains

A strong cool front will cross the area today...resulting in
scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms could be
severe ahead of the front...mainly this afternoon and evening...to
the south and east of the Tri-Cities. High temperatures will range
from only in the lower 70s from Lexington to Ord to lower 80s from
north central Kansas up to Red Cloud...Geneva...and Hebron. Breezy
conditions will develop in the wake of the front tomorrow...with
highs only in the 70s. High pressure will build over the region
Saturday with dry weather. This dry weather will last through at
least Monday. A gradual warming trend will develop Sunday and last
through Wednesday...when the next cool front is forecast to move
through.
