A WINTER STORM SYSTEM IS STILL TARGETING THE CENTRAL PLAINS FOR THE
FIRST PART OF THE WORKWEEK. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING THE DAY
ON MONDAY...WITH THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL FORECAST MONDAY NIGHT AND
TUESDAY. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR WIDESPREAD SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6
TO 12 INCHES. NORTH WINDS WILL INCREASE MONDAY NIGHT AND REMAIN
STRONG ON TUESDAY...WITH GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH POSSIBLE. THE
COMBINATION OF THE FALLING SNOW AND GUSTY WINDS WILL CREATE AREAS OF
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND POTENTIALLY WHITE OUT CONDITIONS.
WINTER STORM WATCHES AND BLIZZARD WATCHES ARE IN EFFECT FOR THIS
STORM SYSTEM. BE SURE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS FOR UPDATES ON
