Weather Summary for Portions of the Central Plains
National Weather Service Hastings NE
841 PM CDT Fri May 20 2016

Warmer temperatures and breezy southerly winds will bring a return
to more typical spring like weather over the upcoming weekend...with
the chance for thunderstorms increasing across the local area. While
an isolated strong thunderstorm cannot be ruled out across the local
area tomorrow...late Sunday afternoon and evening appears to be the
best chance for the development of more widespread thunderstorms
across the local area...as a weak cold front approaches the local
area. While widespread severe weather is not anticipated...the
atmosphere will be favorable for the development of a few severe
thunderstorms...with damaging wind gusts and large hail being the
primary concerns. Additional chances for thunderstorms along with
near seasonably temperatures will linger into the upcoming
week...with another chance for severe weather anticipated Tuesday
afternoon and evening.
