Weather Summary for Portions of the Central Plains
National Weather Service Hastings NE
556 AM CST Thu Dec 1 2016

Seasonable temperatures will prevail across the region through the
upcoming weekend...along with lighter winds. While some very light
snow or flurries are possible across north central Kansas late
Friday night through Saturday morning...most areas will not receive
any measurable snowfall. Conditions will change early next
week...however...as an arctic cold front races across the region
late Monday night or Tuesday. This front will usher in much cooler
air for the middle portion of next week...when temperatures will be
10 to 20 degrees below normal at most locations. Along with the
frigid airmass...there will also be a chance for accumulating
snowfall across the region Tuesday and Wednesday...although there is
a high degree of uncertainty regarding how much snow we could
receive. For this reason...please continue to monitor the forecast
over the coming days as these forecast details become more clear.
