At 642 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly in northeast
Oklahoma. They were most widespread and heaviest in Washington,
Tulsa and Rogers counties in Oklahoma. Movement was to the northeast
at around 25 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was
around one tenth of an inch with maximum amounts of three quarters
to around an inch. Coverage increased during the last hour. The
Tulsa area forecast for early this morning, mostly cloudy,
occasional showers and a chance of thunderstorms with temperatures
61 to 67 degrees and south winds up to 10 mph.
