* At 0815 PM Tuesday the stage was 54.2 feet.

* Forecast...At this time, a rise in the river level within major
flood levels is expected through the week with a crest range
between 54 and 54.5 feet. The river was rising despite incoming
water decreasing. It is believed that the water was backing up
from construction downstream which is making the river stage
forecasts more uncertain. Also of note, the gage height was
adjusted upward about 0.13 feet earlier this evening (affecting
  the forecast as well).
