503 PM CDT TUE APR 18 2017

Galveston TX-Brazoria TX-
503 PM CDT TUE APR 18 2017

The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for...
West central Galveston County in southeastern Texas...
East central Brazoria County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 458 PM CDT, emergency management reported continued flooding in
Santa Fe, near Highland Bayou and Danbury. Although heavy rain has
ended, flood waters are still slow to recede and many roads remain
water covered and hazardous. A few homes still have water in them
as well. Caution is advised in these areas as water may still be
on roads and in homes during the night time hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Texas City, La Marque, Santa Fe, Hitchcock, Danbury, Bayou Vista,
  Liverpool and Chocolate Bayou.

Additional rainfall may be possible over the area tonight. This
additional rain could worsen flooding at night time.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
