REGIONAL WEATHER SYNOPSIS

Brisk westerly flow aloft continues to push a fair amount of
moisture into central and southwest MT this afternoon...creating
mostly cloudy to overcast skies and some widely isolated showers
over a few of the mountain ranges.  Locations along the Hiline are
seeing a mix of clear to partly cloudy skies and breezy winds with
occasional gusts of 20-30 mph.

A weather system approaching western Montana will move east
of the Continental Divide tonight...bringing a mix of valley rain
and mountain snow... primarily over southwestern Montana and
extending north to the Little/Big Belt Mountains. A second storm
system will affect the region Christmas Eve Day through Christmas
Day...with widespread accumulating snow over much of the region.
Additionally...colder temperatures will also move back into the
region starting on Wednesday.
