...Snow showers along with light sleet and freezing drizzle may
result in slippery travel across the higher terrain of Massachusetts

Snow showers mixed with sleet at times and possibly areas of
freezing drizzle will persist much of today before steadier and
heavier precipitation arrives tonight. Given temperatures will
remain just above freezing today any snow accumulations will be
confined to non-paved surfaces. Thus most roadways will remain

However across the higher terrain of western and central Massachusetts
snow will accumulate on paved surfaces especially secondary roads
and any untreated surfaces. Snow accumulations should be an inch
or less. In addition areas of light freezing drizzle are also
possible across this region. Therefore motorists planning travel
across the high terrain should be prepared for slippery spots and
drive with extra caution today.
