...BANDS OF SNOW WILL AFFECT AREAS NEAR THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE IN
SOUTHERN LEWIS AND CLARK AND JEFFERSON COUNTIES THROUGH THE REST
OF THIS AFTERNOON...

AT 200 PM MST...BANDS OF LOCALLY MODERATE SNOW WERE AFFECTING AREAS
NEAR MACDONALD AND ELK PARK PASSES. THESE BANDS WILL PERSIST THROUGH
5PM MDT WITH VISIBILITIES QUICKLY DROPPING TO NEAR A QUARTER OF A
MILE NEAR THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE AT TIMES THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON.

IN ADDITION...TEMPERATURES NEAR FREEZING WILL FALL AFTER
SUNSET...POTENTIALLY LEADING TO THE RAPID FORMATION OF ICE ON AREA
ROADWAYS THAT MAY ONLY BE WET OR SLUSHY THIS AFTERNOON.

PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION...ESPECIALLY ON BRIDGES...OVERPASSES AND
AROUND CURVES. ALLOW PLENTY OF STOPPING DISTANCE AND AVOID BRAKING
SUDDENLY. ICY ROADS ARE POSSIBLE AS THE SNOW MELTS ON THE ROADS THEN
QUICKLY REFREEZES.
