Rip Current Risk:      Low risk. The risk for rip currents is low;
                       however, life threatening rip currents often
                       occur in the vicinity of the South Padre
                       Island jetty. Remember to swim near a
                       lifeguard.

Lightning Risk:       None.

Ultraviolet Index:     Extreme. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and
                       sunglasses, and use sunscreen of SPF 15
                       or higher. Remain in the shade if possible.

Weather:               Partly cloudy.

Temperatures:          Low 90s. Heat Index up to 107-110 degrees.

Wind:                  Southeast 10 to 15 mph, increasing to 20 mph.

Wave Heights:          1 to 3 feet.

Surf Temperature:      80 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       85 degrees.

Tides:                 A high at 3 46 am. A low at 7 O3 pm.

Outlook:               A low risk of rip currents is expected into
                       next week. Hot and dry conditions continue
                       through the weekend, with highs ranging from
                       the upper 80s into the low 90s. Isolated
                       showers and thunderstorms are possible along
                       the sea breeze each day next week.
