...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN SPARTANBURG AND
NORTHWESTERN CHEROKEE COUNTIES THROUGH 245 PM EDT...

At 212 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles north of Spartanburg, or near Mayo, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Gaffney, Boiling Springs SC, Cowpens, Mayo, Chesnee, Cowpens National
Battlefield, and Thicketty.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
Upstate South Carolina.
