...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL LAURENS AND
CENTRAL GREENWOOD COUNTIES THROUGH 1030 PM EDT...

At 942 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Greenwood, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Greenwood, Ninety Six, Lake Greenwood, Greenwood State Park,
Promised Land, Coronaca, Dyson, and Epworth.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to ponding on roadways and in poorly drained areas.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
