Weather Summary for North-Central and Northeast Wisconsin
National Weather Service Green Bay WI
317 AM CST Thu Dec 8 2016

Cloudy skies, gusty west winds and periodic flurries dominated the
region during the overnight hours. Low temperatures were mainly
from 10 to 15 above zero across central Wisconsin, around 20
degrees over eastern Wisconsin.

As a cold front sweeps across the area today, the winds will shift
to the northwest and usher in a reinforcing shot of cold air.
This colder air moving over the warmer waters of Lake Superior
will generate locally heavy bands of lake effect snow showers into
north-central Wisconsin where winter storm warnings and advisories
are in effect. The rest of the area will see more clouds, more
gusty winds and more scattered snow showers or flurries.

The lake effect snow showers will continue tonight across the north
and gradually diminish later on Friday as winds begin to back more
to the west. The rest of the region should see mainly just
flurries through Friday under mostly cloudy skies.
