Mostly sunny skies and mild conditions persisted through the
afternoon. Temperatures ranged from the mid 60s in the northern
areas to the lower 70s in the southern areas under weak high

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to return late tonight
into Monday morning, as a stalled boundary over northern Illinois
lifts north as a warm front. Additional showers and storms are
forecast for Monday afternoon into Monday night, as an area of
low pressure and cold front move through the region. A few of
these storms may be strong with gusty winds and hail late tonight
and again Monday afternoon into Monday evening.

Temperatures will be well-above normal early this week, before
gradually sliding below normal by the end of the work week.
