Sunny skies prevailed across most of the area on Wednesday. The
exception was near Lake Michigan, where lake effect clouds, along
with a few flurries, occurred. Highs reached the upper 20s and
lower 30s.

A large area of low pressure will slowly approach Wisconsin from
the west over the next few days. The storm system will bring an
extended period of rain to the region beginning Thursday afternoon
and evening. Freezing rain is expected across the north as
temperatures remain near 30 at the onset of the precipitation.
